Make sure you’re not running an old version of Mac OS if so you’ll need to download a newer upgrade via the internet then sign into iCloud worked like a charm for me

Thanks so much 🎉 I still cannot believe how the heck do MacBooks have fingerprint recognition, yet you’re ALWAYS required to log in with your password first… 🙄 I think it’s so idiotic and I really am starting to get very disappointed on all Apple products. Steve Jobs was the real genius behind this.
