I have the same problem, but only from time to time (like twice a week). I checked the lockout in the glove box, but trunk still won't open, I have to use old school metal key in the lock each time which is driving me nuts. Any ideas, what might be the reason ?

I have a 2022 and it's located in the glove box, just not in the exact location as in this video. See if yours is near the top center. Hard to see unless you bend down and look.
