Just wanted to say thank you! I was initially bummed out because I tried all the steps and the store wasn’t immediately working after each method. I came back to my pc the following day and the the store was working again… not sure which method did it, but just a heads up for anyone who reads this in the future. Non of these fixed my issue. But Windows Store not opening seems to be only the tip of the iceberg in my case since all of my Microsoft Apps won't open for some reason. But, if I'm not mistaken, method no. 5 should have fixed this issue too, right? I can't even run my Windows Update Utility correctly (it crashes when I try to install the only optional update I do not have installed yet). Still, thanks for sharing your knowledge. Had a weird issue where the microsoft store, cortana search bar and a bunch of other apps were not working for months! Earlier Microsoft Store name was Windows Store. So you can search with that name. If you didn't find that either, then you need to re-install it. Open the PowerShell with admin privilege and enter this command- Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"} Restart your PC and see if there is Microsoft Store. If it doesn't solve your issue then you might need to create a new user account.

I kept getting an error popping up after running the WsReset command. In case anyone else has this problem, I fixed it by changing the security options on the WindowApps folder located in C:\Program Files Just go to properties of the WindowApps folder, go to the security tab, and go to the advanced options. From there change the ownership of the folder to your user account name. After successfully changing ownership and full control to your user, than try running WsReset again. This problem showed up in the first place because whatever account you're using to run windows on doesn't have the proper permissions to open the "WindowApps" folder. This is crucial because in order to run the "WsReset" command, the "WindowApps" folder must be able to be opened, but it can't be opened if the user who ran the command doesn't have permission to open the folder. Things like re-installing windows can reset the permissions of users, so maybe that's what happened to you too.

Method 1: It didn't work for me, I have tried different regions including my own (Argentina), and different languages as well. Method 2: It doesn't do anything. The comandbox stays there with the blinking white rectangle forever. Method 3: It never ends loading. Method 4: It says 'initializing' and it doesn't do anything else more form there. Method 5: Same as the above. Method 6: "Troubleshooter couldn't find any problem" For methods 2,3,4 and 5 I spends around half hour without seeing anything changing. I also checked Task manager to see if the process were at least working, but they all had 0% CPU or Disk usage.

the powershell worked great for me, I was playing around with the antivirus service and turned off the firewall too. for using the powershell trick u have to turn on your firewall. (also keep it on for those programs blocked in your system) nice vid!

I don’t even have the Microsoft store downloaded let alone be able to open it 😭 I got a laptop for school brand new from Best Buy and it doesn’t have Microsoft store downloaded on it

i tried the wsreset method and this error poped up *The application cannot be started. Try reinstalling the application to fix the problem.* I reinstalled it and it still pops up
