Do not ever turn off option that allow usage without locked screen, unless you want to get rid off your money. People are using portable pay terminals in crowds and buses trains to find someone with this option off

Not helpful. I literally can't switch the nfc option on. I see tge option, but can't switch it on. It used to work. Just suddenly stopped working one day.

@@atiqurrahman5270 there is none, unfortunately. You can either replace your phone with a model supporting nfc or get another device for certain nfc features (some smartwatches do support nfc)

I bought a Samsung Galaxy A13 in early 2023 & assumed it would have NFC. It turns out it didn't. The seller of the phone (Optus in Officeworks) had chosen to disable it. Very disappointing!

I think that's only if you clear cash in the Google pay app, not the NFC app.
