How to Fix No Sound Issues on Nintendo Switch (Tv, Headphones, Speakers)

OMG! That long press power button and restart actually solved my problem. I have always been connecting it to a sound speaker via a USB 2.0 to USB-C cable, but one day it didn't work. Then I checked this video. Long press the power button. Restart. Sound comes. Thank you so much!

Yeah who the f@ck is stupid enough to put a q tip in the headphone jack it could damage it further and i wouldn't blow spit in the headphone jack like this guy did use canned or compressed air

My speakers were at fault. I did everything I could think of to fix including some mentioned in the video. I was getting sound fine from a pair of Bluetooth headsets so I knew it wasn't the system itself but just the speakers. Someone else mentioned blowing into the speakers and that worked momentarily. I've come to the conclusion that Nintendo just has used sub par speakers and they've blown.

Want to update that indeed the factory speakers were simply blown. I replaced them myself with a new set I got from Amazon and I have sound again.

Hey guys, I have a problem with my switch. I'm just casually watching KZbin on my switch and suddenly the speaker has no sound. I tried to restart but there's still no sound. Same thing happened to me, and I somehow fixed it by taking the Game Cartridge out while it was docked, undocking it, then putting the Game Cartridge back in and docking it again. My audio then worked while docked and undocked.

If it helps anyone, none of this worked for me but I did change my hdmi to a different slot and the sound worked once I changed the tv sound setting to hmdi out 😌

I have been having problems with my arctis 7x on the switch. The switch doesn't seem to be able to detect when I turn my wireless headset off. On the other consoles, the sound changes to the speakers when I turn off the headset, but on the switch I have to unplug the usb dongle. Is this normal?

If it says headphones are connected try just going to the controllers option and it should work
