Hi Michael. I’m very grateful that you made this video. Even with several videos made on this exact topic, yours was the only one that was informative enough for someone of my skill level. I also really appreciate how you handled sharing the solution to the slight problem that you ran into. Thanks again!

Use A flat head screw driver when installing intake clip to help push it all the way in if needed. Thanks for the vid.

Hey Michael. Thank you for guys like you who take time to make these videos for the rest of us. I just got the Fuel Line and waiting for the wire harness. I am about to tackle this known issue and just want to know how things are since the fix? Would be awesome if you could give us an update. Truly appreciate you man!

For hybrid owners, DO NOT cut those wire short. 😂 Please compare length with old wire and add some slack.

on the fuel line connection at the intake if you snip off the line about two inches after the white retaining clip you then can rotate the fitting and push down on the white clip to release the line. thats the design of that clip.

TLDR: if you don’t hear two clicks when reinstalling the tube try lubing the lip it needs to go over. Just had to do this repair myself, having never worked on a car before, since the two different men who said they could take care of it were no shows. The clip going toward the back of car definitely did not click. I did feel it go past the lip, but no locking. I started the car and no fuel was leaking so I assumed it was fine. But I had a very bad feeling that that might not be the case if driving the car around. The next day I started the car again to confirm my fear and fuel was now spraying every where. You don’t really need a tool to get this part on right. Turns out the fuel helped to lubricate the lip and after that and a two handed effort (one hand on each part pushing together rather than just pushing it from one end) it locked on. It’s TWO clicks you want to hear.

You push the white clip in. Pop up the blue clip up, push in the white clip. To reinstall, push the white clip in and then push the red clip down to lock the white clip in place..

Thank you bunch ...great video...to the point ..followed you and changed mine today. Hesitation went away but code stayed. How many miles should i drive to clear CEC p018c
@kazeolkatt Жыл бұрын
It shouldn't take all that long for it to go away. I can't remember how long mine took, but probably within 20-60 miles. Definitely under 100 miles

To help others in future my Paci 2017 Touring L 52k miles ..i paid $105.00 for rail sensor and $62.00 for wiring harness . Frisco texas Chrysler dealer quoted me 170 for sensor and 89 for wires.. ..bur online was showing lower price then i forced them to match it...they are a rip off...so call around ..
@kazeolkatt Жыл бұрын
@@ziadajz8412 yeah, I found them online for a bit less than other places, especially compared to how much it was if I bought it at my local dealership

My 2019 pacifica threw a code p1457. Brought it to an auto shop and they quoted me $550 but I know I can do it myself for cheaper. Is this code similar to the P018C? Would I need to splice on a 2019 model too? thanks
@kazeolkatt Жыл бұрын
P1457 is usually an Emissions error code. A lot of times that means a leak in the gas cap or that it's not on tight/sealing, or some sort of air leak with it. Or it could eventually be a charcoal canister (but that shouldn't be happening this soon into the life of the vehicle). However, I've never gotten that code on my Pacifica yet

Hi Michael, mi daughter and my self fix this code, but now is show the code P018D, wondering if you know how to fix this problem ?
@kazeolkatt2 ай бұрын
I do not. I just figure stuff out as I have to fix it. I would recommend doing a Google search online for that code and your vehicle. That's what I do if there are no videos on it. There should be a decent amount of discussion in different groups and on different message boards for Chrysler Pacificas. That should help you a bit. Good luck.

Why is there even a need to splice on a new pig tail. Seems like an unnecessary step, not like plug was oil soaked
