I’m dealing with temperature inconsistencies in my home.. someway somehow I found myself here. Joseph, you did a very jam up job in this product review. Excellent style you have. Keep up the good work. Subscribed.

How does your thermostat know when to turn on/off now? I’ve seen numerous of these types of systems, and they all fail to cover that aspect. What temperature do you have to set your HVAC thermostat to? Does it matter? Having an individually controlled vent is great, but if the AC/heat is always or never turning on, it won’t make any real difference
@JosephKim6 ай бұрын
That's true that if HVAC isn't running, there is no benefit to this system. The use case only applies if your HVAC is overcooling or overheating your room. My Thermostats are usually set to 74 during summer.

@@nathan1sixteen I am thinking of using this solution and my thought was to put a smart vent in every vent where my thermostat is and a puck. Then put a vent and puck in any room that is too hot or too cold. The vents where the thermostat is will close to force are to the rooms that are too hot or too cold. As those rooms reach the correct temperature, the vents where the thermostat are will open more until the room with the thermostat is at the proper temperature.

This is exactly the type of product I am looking for, but the reviews on Amazon aren’t great and Amazon lists it as a frequently returned item. Are there any other brands that make a similar product?

@@SS1LE-2018 I think there are similar brands. This is only one that I've tried so far.

is it as loud when the vent is closed as it was with your old manual vent? How does it make it quieter if it does? Thank you
@JosephKim8 ай бұрын
To be very honest, it is probably about the same noise as what it was before when it is closed. But at least it is not always closed. I hope that makes sense!

How’s the noise? Is it still noisy with Flair?
@JosephKim23 күн бұрын
It kinda is as it 'whistles' when it is closed. But it at least helps with the over cooling/heating issue.

Really easy video to follow along! Liked all the added descriptions. Looks like the product worked in the sense that it opened / closed according to what the ambient temp was vs the set temp but wondering if it ended up working to heat / cool since you installed it?
@JosephKim8 ай бұрын
The thermostat detects the temp and decide open/close!

@@JosephKim So it's been effective in heating up or cooling down those rooms?
@JosephKim8 ай бұрын
@@tampaango only installed in one room. But it no longer has over-cooling/heating problem.

I dont really understand. Why would the vent close if the room is hotter than your set temp?
@JosephKim4 ай бұрын
To prevent the room from being overheated? The rest of the house still needs to be heated.
