I am so glad to see how others appreciate movie design accuracy. Playmates for some reason do not invest in their sculptors enough to design their licenses accurate enough. This reminds me of the TMNTs Movie classics that as far as face goes look NOTHING like the characters on film. I own Leo, Don and Raph from that line and I did a Pre Sculpt or mock up on the heads with Plasticine (which sadly the color doesn't match but it's a try out) with reference photos to make sure that the Turtles look movie accurate and I am very proud of the results. I am however going to do the final definitive sculpt with the same Apoxie material you used here which I too own. Love all the work it was done, hope to see more in the future :)

So I actually did this with mine, and it looks great! It obviously doesn't look as good as yours since it was my first custom, but I did a lot better than I expected. This customization inspired me to to customize a few of my figures. Right now, I'm working on a poster version of king ghidorah based on a poster from the original showa film titled "Ghidorah, the three headed monster". Thanks for the inspiration and the tutorials! Ya know it almost seemed like Playmates WERE gonna do a more accurate design that matched the movie design...but then some terrible mechanical malfunction or mis-calibration happened that caused the head to schlouch forward. But that thankfully you returned the figure to its intended GLORY!!!
