One way I fixed it was by using and Ethernet/lan cable that was connect from my laptop to ps4(find tutorial on YT) but what worked best was to just reset your wifi by going to your router and finding a small button on the back and using a paper clip or pencil to push it and hold it down for a few seconds. I suggest trying router first. I felt stupid for just unplugging my router as "resetting" it.

It doesn’t work for me! After I put on custom I choose my internet , then I have to put in the password, after I put that in, it comes up with Can not connect to the Wi-Fi network. The WPA password might not be correct. ( NW-31291-2)

I tried this multiple times and it didn’t work, this happened to me before a long time ago and I know it’s not my router because my phone works and connects just fine, it keeps telling me my WiFi signal is too weak even when I’m right next to my router, and the error NW-31295-0 appears non stop. If anyone has any tips or methods to get rid of this please reply, this is seriously getting on my nerves, since the only way I can play is through my hotspot.....😤

Well my ps4 kept going to safe mode making me chose an option everytime i turned my ps4 on. After the 10th time i gave in and said ef it and restored default settings.. i lost a shit ton of saved data and my setup went back to factory setup but the funny think is that it fixed whatever the problem was with my wifi and now finds it perfectly no problems. If i was yall id do a cloud save or transfer your data then give it a try. Aslong as ypu protect your data you really dont have anything else to lose. I hope this helps

I reset motem/router with ps 4 off, works fine now. I was tired of Ethernet cable plugged up so I wanted straight wifi. Ps 4 was on and I unplugged Ethernet cable, tried to connect to WiFi didn't work so turned ps 4 off reset button on motem/router. Cut back on PS 4 chose user Boo YoWwwwww

All you're doing is power cycling the device you're getting the error on. If the issue is with the ISP or the router, you should address the router to correct the problem or contact the ISP for them to send a reset signal to your network.
