It can be solved by just changing the piston and ring, More will be only identified once the engine opens.

In my tvs jupiter bs 4 speedometer works fine but the odometer has stopped. Do both work on the same cable as shown in the video? How do I diagnose the fault? Need help!

Yes you are right, cable rotates the both odometer as well as speedometer, as you are telling I think the cause is that there is a broken gear which rotates the odometer in your speedometer.

The gear which drives odometer is broken, if the meter is showing the speed but odometer is not working then you have to change the gear.
