How to fix issue with tension guard and tension disc causing thread breaking on Sewing Machine
If the tension disc is rusted and has a lot of mark's, its better to replace it as that can cause issues with your thread.
By opening the tension guard, it will determine whether it is worth purchasing a new part for your sewing machine.
In this video, I am going to take apart, sand both tension discs and put back together tension guard making sure both discs are nice and smooth.
To do this, I used Aluminum Oxide Sandpaper. This is ideal for grinding on metal such as, edges, profiles and hollow grooves. Great for polishing and smoothing for machine parts such as pressure bar, Arm shaft and Tension assembly.
