Followed #1, disconnected the power cable, changed the HDMI cable and used a different outlet for the power cable. It did work on my 2016 Sony Bravia 40" SmartvTV. No more vertical lines. There is no way... it is simply stupid to say such a thing. This problem tends to be much more complex than what is shown here, in fact, it only shows idiocy here. They can do these procedures a million times, but unfortunately none of them will solve the problem. This symptom could be: Broken hand board, broken T-con, or with a bit of luck, oxidation on the LVDS (Low Voltage Digital Signal) cable. This cable takes low voltage video signals from the motherboard to the screen. It usually has an intermediate board, called T-con (Time Control). Cleaning this cable and the two cables that come from the T-con to the screen may solve the problem. These cables must be cleaned carefully, as well as removed from their respective connection plugs and placed in them. Use a pencil eraser for cleaning. It is normally not simple for those who have never carried out the operation, and should in no way be carried out by people with little manual dexterity, everything is delicate, in addition to the risk of an electric shock. I don't recommend opening a TV if you don't feel capable of doing so. There are many videos on KZbin that show how to carry out this cleaning operation. I apologize to the author for writing this text, but I wouldn't feel very good if I didn't. My experience in TV repair dates back to 1990, where I started my professional career at Samsung Eletrônica Portuguesa. I have more than 30 years of experience and every day I repair TVs in my store in Lisbon. Good info. Solution 1 solved my problem. Only a month in with my new x90l and a big black line appeared and the 2 halves mirrored each other. I hope this not going to be an ongoing problem.

My TV will start off with vertical lines and no image but after about 30 seconds it will go between good image and sometimes vertical lines and 10 seconds later its good image and every now and then will give me the vertical lines on rare occasion, any idea what that is, cause?

Ciao io ho SONY da 55 pollici uno dei prim in 4k in italia ... un giorno dopo tanti anni io compro solo SONY per un paio di minuti strisce verticali colorati spariva e tornava ... ho spento tutto stacando corrente è ritornato normale ... ma dopo 2 ore ritornano le trisce ritolgo la corrente riacendo e ritorna normale ora e 3 giorni che non lo fà più pensi che sia RISOLTO ho devo comprare naturalmente un altro SONY 55 del 2024 ? ciao e grazie
