I had that problem too. Another thing that happened too is on a KZbin video that I made with screen recorder content. It was fine for a couple weeks and going back to look, now there is only audio and no video.

Thank you so much, the media and mic setting was not on. I could record sound with Bluetooth off but not with it on. Your media/ mic setting fixed it. Yay, was driving me nuts. THANK YOU XX

@Rashieda April I heard someone say that if u clicked on media instead of media and mic, it's as if u forgot to take the cap off a camera lens and only had audio, so I'm assuming this is the same, only, reverse, unfortunately

I am using Nokia T21 (Android 12) and wanted to record Asphalt 9 gameplay with screen recorder for my KZbin channel. The gameplay is recorded but without sound. I did everything you said but no help. However, this problem persists only with some games, other games can be recorded with sound without any issue. If anyone has the solution , please help.

It's because of some kind of Google's privacy stuff. It blocks us recording games that include licensed songs/sounds. This doesn't apply to older Android versions or phones that have their own recording software. Possibly , bypassing this privacy thing is to Root the device. But I don't recommend that either because it's risky. Also, if it's failed. They won't claim the insurance.
