I’ve tried a lot of this already and hasn’t work but I do wanna say good job on putting so much information so quickly and making it very easy to fallow. If all methods fail as in my case then take the folder with whole game with CTRL+X and paste it in your comp to any other folder e.g. Documents/Games and click on that exec file and it will work. I was already desperate as 3 games didn't open via steam while other worked. I couldn't believe this fixed the problem. You find original folder when you go Steam right click on game - Manage - Browse local files.

I tried everything and nothing seems to work. I also get a steam cloud out of sync error too. Tried finding solutions for that problem too but no successful. I Hate steam. I’m just gonna try doing a factory reset

JEEZ THANK YOU! I’ve been struggling to find something that worked for about 5 hours now. South Park stick of truth wasn’t working for me, but after following this guide it helped, I really think it was the run app as administrator step that helped

still not working 😿, I just downloaded persona 5 and barely played it for 2 hours, the next day I tried to launch it and opened for 2 seconds in the main screen and then it goes totally black, when I try to open it it automatically kicks me out. it's ao frustrating lol, I really wanna play persona 5 and it's not allowing me😭. no idea if that helps anyone but for me the only game i ″cant″ open is the finals, and i can ONLY launch it when its the first thing i do after opening steam (if the game crashes and i have to lauch it again it doesnt work and in need to restart) maybe this helps someone :-( electricity is magic
