My "Edit" button disappeared and was replaced with an "adjust clips" button.. This does not work well for me because the edit button works better than this adjust button. I have no clue what went wrong or why my edit button disappeared.. its really frustrating :(

Ok, so the edit button shows up on drafts longer than a minute, but I get adjust clips on anything under a minute. Sigh

Sadly this didn't help. I downloaded TikTok to my Samsung S20 yesterday. All the controls on the right side of the screen while uploading a video do not exist in the same format as the newer tiktok. I cannot edit videos and text boxes in the same edit function. Also, there is the old 150 character limitation when putting text into a video. I have verified that the version is the latest. I have made sure the phone is updated. It is running Android 12 and phone software is the latest. It is working fine on my other phones. Just not this one Galaxy S20 phone. I don't understand what else I need to do. Please help if anyone can. Thanks.

The exact same thing happened to me. I have the S20, and a few days ago my app reverted to the old editor and old features. I can't even see "videos" at the top of my search!

The REAL solution is just to get a new phone, which is what I've found. I've tried EVERYTHING. uninstalling, resetting my phone, clear cache multiple time, made room in my storage, and Tiktok still reverts back to its old editor all of a sudden. My current phone is S20+ Galaxy. However, I found that on my newest phone, which my sister has, all the new features exist (Galaxy S21)
