Impressive! I ignore the torque twist. Maybe I`ll get to where I can`t ignore it. Thanks for the tutorial.

I ignored it too. It didn’t bother me that much but when I had to buy the replacement c-hub I figured why not give it a try. One thing it for sure helps is when you’re in high gear it doesn’t roll as much.

The "black piece" @ 2m 40s is a removable spacer for the long screw that secures the upper links to the axle. You can remove it and use it on the new axle.

I did figure that out after I had finished filming haha.

My new Evo Pro brushed came with the new housing. So they did update new models.. my original brushless did not have the new housing.

That’s amazing news!! I have to wonder why they both transmission outputs on there from the start. It seems redundant.

@ 4m 23s - The abuse is REAL!! 🤣 I installed a set of Injora 1.3" HEAVY brass wheels (around 80+ grams per wheel) with their new Cling-On tires. The combined weight of the w/t's are as much as the entire rig without w/t!! Anyway, mine took a big tumble on some hard lines and as it fell, the force of the heavy wheels jerked the rear axle and snapped the link mount. It's the weakest link of the V1 axles. This new axle is a brilliant solution, because they've added the additional link and shock mounts for strength, as well as a reinforced spine on top. All that PLUS reversable gears makes it a MUST HAVE.
@MtOlympusRC7 күн бұрын
Yeah I’m not a fan of rotational mass but i haven’t figured a better way to add the necessary weight to these small rigs. I also think I may ditch the cling ons.

Great video. Noticed that you have steel drive shaft? Can you tell us the part number or where to buy it from? Thank you

do the Brass 7mm Hex extender weights you used eliminate some of the wheel slop? Rear Axle housing V2 (the one that rotats thegears) is just a couple of $/€ but hard to get... does come in complete metal as well. decided to live with torque twist for the moment as the original Housing Pumpkin is quite a bit smaller...
@MtOlympusRC2 ай бұрын
I have seen the housings in aluminum that allow for the driveshaft to rotate the opposite direction. Sadly nothing I have done has reduced the slop in the drivetrain. I still believe that stock the Evo Pro needs no mods.

Hey man does the front axle of the rushmore have the axle tube gussets as well or is it only the rear axle? I would luke to upgrade front and rear to those for the gusseted look and to fix the torque twist. I have the cr18p evo rock van with the furitek micro komodo brushless and lizard pro esc. Just on the stock 2s 35c 600mah battery the thing drifts with 4wd and does wheelies and stoppies. I have a 3s battery and adapter on the way. I took off the front driveshaft for repair purposes and it just flies to the right on a launch and does a wheelie.
@MtOlympusRCАй бұрын
I honestly don’t know. I only bought the v2 rear axles housings. I haven’t been able to find anything that suggests or shows that the front one has the gussets.
@nathanstout7763Ай бұрын
@MtOlympusRC same. I've been researching last night about it and I can't find anything for it either so I doubt it's different than the regular cr18ps. Thanks man have a good one.
@nathanstout7763Ай бұрын
I did order that rear axle last night because this thing without steering at all and no front driveshaft literally does donuts by itself
@MtOlympusRCАй бұрын
@@nathanstout7763 if I find anything out I’ll be sure to let you know. But the v2 is worth it.

I want a fix for the wheel slop. Rolls back and forth way to much
@MtOlympusRC4 ай бұрын
Yeah it does! From what I have found there is quite a bit of tolerance in the gears that n the portals. If you have the capability to 3d print you could try that.
