How To Fix Unidentified Network in Windows 10/11

Step by step what worked for me. opened command promot as admin, typed " ipconfig/flushdns", turned off my pc, unplugged my ethernet from my pc and router, left my pc off. Restarted my router and waited for it to be on completely, plugged my ethernet in my pc upstairs, ran back down and moved the spot my ethernet was usually in from slot 1 to slot 3. then turned my pc and got prompted a message about internet from windows and clicked "allow" and it worked from now, I switched from verizon to comcast yesterday and never had an issue with verizon and comcast tried gaslighting me saying it was my pc. Already miss verizon.

What I did instead of this is turned off windows firewall and restarted my laptop it worked ,but then I thought to turn on the firewall it again went to the same , so lastly what I did was I tapped on the reset to default in (for windows firewall) and it worked it restored the firewall setting

What do you do if the router sees the device name on wired, but not wireless?

If you still have issues, it might not be windows itself, rather than the port you are using, try swapping your Ethernet port out for another one, that worked for me!
