How to: Fix Water Leaking Behind Your Rain Gutter

DIY tutorial on how to fix water leaking behind your rain gutter. Between the facia and the gutter. Very simple fix that you can do yourself and help keep your house in great shape. This can cause damage to your facia board over time and rot it out. Especially if it's not covered with an aluminum skin. All you need are strips of sheet metal flashing to fix this. Be careful about working with Aluminum sheet metal as it is very sharp.

What size/type screws do you recommend? I've already cut my sheet metal. I'm ready to install in the morning. I just wanna make sure I use the correct kind of screws. Thanks!

These are the ones I used... They work great. Basically sheet metal screws that have the rubber washer. Like the ones the use for the metal carports. If you go to Amazon and type this in the search box, it should bring them up: LIONMAX Metal Roofing Screws #10 × 1 Inch, 300-PCS

Off to Home Depot I go!!! 😂 Im a 54yr old in my first home and I'll never hire another Mexican without references and proof of work. 😂 He did a sloppy job on my canopy gutter and had the nerve to charge me $200 for only a 16ft gutter!! The house is fine. This is for my patio overhang to catch rain in my barrel. When it rains here, I get water dripping like crazy. 😢 Thanks again!!!!
