how to fix your, my flutterbye part 1 flutterbye fairy will spin but not take off

How to fix your Flutterbye toy that spins but will not take off from the stand. This is a simple that will take 2 minutes to do. If you are looking for the arm I am talking about in the video it is only about 1/2 an inch long and is shown in part 2. It is a short rod with a cup joint on each end.

I am so thankful that you shared this video. Thank you for taking the time to make it. My 6 year old daughter bought the fairy two days ago with her Christmas money, and today it stopped lifting off as you showed. I spent all day trying to figure it out, emailing customer service and reading reviews from many other people with the same issue. I found your video after she went to bed and ten minutes later, the fairy is working again. She's going to be ecstatic when she wakes up and it's working. Before bed she was in tears saying, "I gave all my money to Target, and now I've got nothing!" Seriously, you rock. The video was helpful and I was able to find confidently find the little ball and socket thing and put it back together so easily. :)

Thank you so much for this video. I was able to reattach the loose piece using a pair tweezers and a lot of extra light. My seven year old daughter said it best, "That guy's smart."

Thank you for the tips! I couldn't see the connecting part at first but luckily found it on the floor. It looks like a two-sided spoon. I put the " spoons" back to the balls and it starts flying again.

Spin Master had asked me to disable the toy (by clipping its main propellers) in order to get a replacement. I hesitated to do so knowing there had to be a way to repair the toy and you found it. I am ecstatic to save another toy from the trash bin. Thanks again!

I threw mine in my little cabinet and forgot all about it for about 5 months after it broke. I finally found it and broke down when I realized it still didn't work after I tried everything! I finally found this doubting it would be the problem with my fairy until I saw it was.

You need to have a look at part 2 to see the arm. The arm is only 1/2 inch long and looks like a dog bone. Each end of the little are has a cup on it. You are going to push the cup back onto it's little ball that it rides on. It is all very small and requires a good light. As for charging problems new good batteries are a must. Look for crud in the end of the wire connection. The smallest amount of coercion will make your fairy not charge. She runs on a big capacitor in the lower body. If this goes bad or the wire breaks you are out of luck.

Excellent piece of advice. Now, the arm in my daughter's fairy disengages often when it impacts an obstacle. Did you face this? I noticed one end of the arm is not fully closed. I'm tempted to apply glue in order to increase tension strength in arm but, want to double check first.

Do you happen to know what size the gears are inside of this toy? The wheel attached to the center rod stripped out and I need a replacement. I can't seem to find the size anywhere, and the customer service didn't answer after an hour on hold.

Alx it sounds like the plastic in your fairy's arm socket has gone bad from too many repairs. sorry but you are looking at buying a new one. We only needed to do the fix one time. our 6 year old doesn't crash it anymore.
