I had given my pi zero w up for dead. I tried removing the sd card, but I didn't try swapping it out! Thank you!

Glad to hear it helped, we were sure we'd broken ours and you couldn't get them at the time was such a relief to get ours back.

Such brilliant kids! I was about to chuck away my pi zero w because it wouldn't power On. Was surprised to see it back to life after putting in a known good microsd card. Thanks heaps! ❤❤❤

Good job, kids! Good to see you into such tech. You can back up your RPi images using dd on a computer, to an image, from which you can restore. As for soldering, proper flux saves a lot of anxiety. Also research the RPi LED flashing codes to let you know what's up. I always recommend high quality SD cards, which can be fake ones even sold on Amazon. Get a good source. Cheers.

I have a raspberry pi that turns both red and green light on but no flashing lights. Just steady, still lights. It does not read the Sd card, and does not connect to my internet.

Research RPi LED codes. Also take a high quality SD card, and flash it using the Imager application. Then try that card to see if it behaves differently.

For the failed RPi4B you may want to search for "Raspberry Pi 4/400 Bootloader Firmware Update/Recovery Guide" and see the part with the title "Bootloader Recovery". Then the part "When to Attempt Recovery". You don't have much to lose but time. And if you can recover it, you will always be able to find a use for another RPi4B. And I agree with Jim Coogan about bad cards. Especially ones that were cheap or made fantastic claims. I always test my SD cards and USB flash drives with a card reader and H2testw before I start to use them, as many cards are have the microcontroller in the card reprogrammed to lie about the true capacity. They can appear to work until it wraps around and starts writing over itself. Search for detect fake flash and you will find many links. And a good power supply is important, but you have probably already tried swapping power supplies, since you have multiple. After a bad experience with a batch of "bargain" Raspberry Pi power supplies from China, I now have been buying the "official" RPi power supplies. They are a bit more expensive, but I haven't had any problems with them.

Thanks for the boot loader hint. I’m going to try that on a pi that is doing the same thing to me right now. If that doesn’t work I was going to suggest taking a look at the Zener Diode from my other searches online. I have the 1.4 board and I was looking for confirmation that it was moved to right behind the USB 2.0 port in that revision when I came across this video

If you have a Pi that has crashed and will not boot check to see if you can read the boot partition in Windows. Mine only had 3 files left on it so I copied all the boot sector files across from another sd card with the same operating system. All worked again nicely after booting. Hope this helps.
