Woah!!! Yesterday night i did steps 1-5! Tv still did not turn on. 1 night passed, afternoon i on power to tv again… standby red light came on, tv working just fine! OMG! Thank you!! Your tips saved my New Year! Happy 2024 in advance! 🎉🎉🎉

I moved a 70 inch Sharp and got a new Dish Remote (TV worked fine before I moved it from a Hopper to a Joey and changed remote). Now, Dish remote works on all functions except power off and volume (Power on works). I've paired the new remote to the TV but to no avail. The sharp remote does not work at all even with new batteries.

Sounds like the Dish remote isn't sending the correct signal - maybe Dish support can help? If you haven't used your Sharp remote in a while then it could have some corrosion - you can usually pop the remote open with a knife or similar and give it a good clean which can often help.

Hiya! Well, I'm stumped. TV was on. All ok. Suddenly, it turned off. No sound (like a pop) when it shut off. No smell (burning, hot metal/plastic) either. Remote and batteries fine. On/off button makes the red TV light blink once. No sound at all. Did step 1-5 to No avail. Step six: opened 'er up & no "scorch" marks. All looks good. It's 4 yrs old & we take care it. Don't have a multimeter so I can go get one to check that aspect of the main board. Getting quite discouraged! Ant suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks & have a good one.

@@wilsonimon2480 well... I opened it up to check if there was any sign of a component that fried. Nope. Did see that there's a component that oòs to have been de-soldered. I don't have the equipment so it's now a giant paperweight. If yours has *any* sound at all, I was told that it's probably the LED strip that needs to be changed. Good luck!

I got Sharp tv and using ps5 but when someone is in red or any red colours being used they show up pink Aby ideas what that could be

Colour settings on your TV, or on your PS5, I would think.

Greetings. I've searched and scoured the internet to resolve my TV issue all to no avail. Perhaps a message to you can prove useful in finding a solution. I have a Sharp Roku TV. The red stand-by light is on and the TV is off. Three seconds later, the stand-by light dims (still on, but dimmed), the screen turns on for one second displaying the logo 'Sharp- Roku TV' and then the screen immediately turns off and the cycle repeats non-stop. When the screen is off, the stand-by light is bright for a total of three seconds. When the screen tries to turn on, the stand-by light is dimmed for three seconds. I've tried it plugged in directly to the wall outlet or to a power strip. Makes no difference. I've tried turning it on with the remote or the power button button. Again, makes no difference. I've changed the remote batteries, left the TV unplugged for up to two hours, unplugged every cable from the TV, restarted the modem, and again it makes no difference. If there's anything else you can think of for me to try, I'm all ears and willing to give it a go. Thanks!

Sorry I missed this. It's almost certainly some kind of error correcting pathway switching your TV off to prevent further damage due to a component failure. It could be a failure almost anywhere causing it, but I would look at the main board first. You'll need to check voltages as your TV powers up and see if you can see something spiking.

My sharp tv standby light is OFF. Tried steps 1-5 to no avail. TV is likely 11 yrs old by now. Not capable of fixing motherboard and so clearly i gotta get a new TV. Sigh! Just when money is tight, this happened…☹️
