How short your backswing is, and your explanation of that at 3:00 is an eye opener

Yes sir when weight is transferring back
@louispounds7486Ай бұрын
Appreciate you acknowledging that the weight does transfer left very early. I didn’t realize that I need to keep the weight right a few moments longer.
@rkswingkingАй бұрын
Ideally it is right after the clubhead starts to go above the hands The pressure goes back left while the club continues on
@louispounds7486Ай бұрын
@ so just let it happen? It is remarkable how early the weight moves right as one moves the arms trail side.
@rkswingkingАй бұрын
@louispounds7486 correct. The secret is loading the right fully by: 8:00 or so then the weight going back left when clubhead starts it's ascent

Great advice, this is exactly what Mr. Hogan, Sam Sneed etc. did Grateful Aussie.

pressure b4 movement i think is one of your key phrases, as a former swayer i have to focus on pressure b4 loading/coiling around my spine But its probably same thing Again you say backswing over between 8 n 9 oclock Agree but i feel im fully loaded/coiled and my arms are floating whilst my pressure moves back to my left side etc thanks for all great videos

@@grahamjones7371 your welcome I feel the same . Great way to say it

Off Topic "Cross Fitness Training"...you mentioned it, in another video. Cross Fitness Training can give you life saving physical skills. True cross fit training . like military boot camp, not the Yuppie kind of cross training of 10-15 years ago in a gym. examples- train how to climb over a 5-6ft wall, how to jump at 2ft, how to lift a heavy object over your head, how to climb a 20 ft rope up, how to drag 180lb object 50ft, how to bang a door down to get in or out, how to crawl flat on the ground for 100ft. All these could save your life or someone else. Each of these has specific techniques that can help you do them. Even the most seemly simple tasks, people cannot do, lie flat on your back, now get up as fast as you can, then do it 20 times non-stop.

I agree ... I was a cross fit affiliate owner back in the day . Trained seal fit and every kind of real world training . I couldn't agree more with your above statement

Think Hogan had a diag of him perched on a shooting stick which would be more conventional than a DT

Hi Roger, MDLT says to use your hands to put the club over your shoulder in backswing. How does this relate to your approach to the takeaway? Best, P
@rkswingkingАй бұрын
@@phillipsquared2.0 a great way of saying it for so many If the hands only cock up and down then that's how the hands work to go over the shoulder. The only thing is the body must always respond . I am trying to have that same feel but making sure the body is responding
@phillipsquared2.0Ай бұрын
Thank you for the reply. Can I think of the takeaway as cocking the hands up during the backswing, with the body responding? Or is there also a left-right motion in the hands as well? Best, P
@rkswingkingАй бұрын
@phillipsquared2.0 you can .. every great player has that force before motion Watch both of them kzbin.info/www/bejne/bneToKGFdr6WjcUsi=1FlKEQJSlo9Nwk77

So basically it's like a foward press without moving the club?
@rkswingkingАй бұрын
Yes but the club might move a little as well . That's a feel that's up to u .
