Please... Subscribe/Like/Comment...fix your Walmart o'cedar easy wring spin mop buckets when it starts to slip so you don't have to spend money to buy another mop bucket... I've had this my pocket for about 5 years and it has slipped maybe once or twice since then so I am showing you how to clean it up where it does not slip again it starts to slip due to water buildup from condensation of the water when the wheel spins water goes down the shaft which creates a light Rusty film on the shaft and cogs slipping from condensation and rust buildup.

The spin is counterclockwise, so I find spinning the mop with my hands in a clockwise direction till it is tight will work also.

Just to let you all are no longer have this particular mop buckets... the reason why is cuz dogs like to chew things up so my mop bucket was Torn to Pieces so I had to throw it away as far as this particular type of mop buckets since Walmart came out with this particular type all kinds of mop buckets that are similar to it has came out and there are some that even have where you can replace certain parts so therefore there's a whole variety as well is there something that can be broken down piece by piece by piece and you can order fresh new parts thank you very much to everybody just to let y'all know I'm learning as I go I am not an expert

khilaa fleming certain mop buckets only last so long however when they make my buckets that does not have extended parts you know it's not going to last that long but with a little bit of Ingenuity in elbow grease we can make things last just a little bit longer however there are my buckets out there that have extended Parts in case it breaks hey let me order a new one that's how they get you that's how they get you to buy more parts and then eventually the parts last but the bucket does not and what do you have to do well you spend all that money buying all those parts now you got to go buy a new mop bucket it's important to realize or did you figure out what okay what kind of mop bucket do I need what kind of mop bucket can I benefit from what kind of mop bucket is easier to use than others and sometimes just because it's easy does it mean it's better sometimes old school mop buckets on the long run Outlast every other one might have to get your hands a little dirty sometimes but I come to realize old school sometimes it's better so upon picking him up bucket or anything like that take your time see what you can benefit from your Pros in your cons believe or not it works upon buying my pockets thank you for commenting goodbye

I'm at 4 minutes in and seen that my spin mop doesn't have the c clamp on the shaft. I'm wondering if that's the problem...

At the heart of this thing is what is called an "overrunning clutch" that locks in one direction of rotation when the pedal goes down, and allows the mop to spin freely when the pedal goes back up. They are used, for example, in the starter on small engines that have a pull starting rope. Great little device, but they have a bunch of needle bearings that do NOT like water and dirt. My clutch was seized up and it destroyed itself plus its plastic support when I tried to remove it. Result: instant junk, because it would not have been worth it to repair the support and replace the clutch. The mop wringer is not a bad idea, but the execution is poor, (sort of like a lot of stuff made in China) because water can run down and lock up the clutch. If your mop starts refusing to spin when you release pressure from the pedal you'd better disassemble it right away and hope the clutch is not completely frozen up, because you will get the same results I did. It is possible to re-lube the clutch, but be careful not to lose the little needle bearings... Good luck,

Mine is brand new and not spinning?! It spins but it doesn’t ring it out. It’s still sopping wet. This is the second old cedar mop I bought in the last 12 months the first one lasted probably four or five months but i mop a lot and when I say a lot I mean 14 rooms three times a day .

our bucket got to where it would "scream" loud when stepping on the pedal to wring the mop, so I used W-D 40 on it. But, then it got to where we could NOT push the pedal down at all. My husband and I both have tried to get the little white plastic thing but it does NOT budge :( Also, ours looks flat not like yours, but it will not do anything but turn with the spinner. How can I get it off and the spinner out before I take a sledge hammer to it? PLEASE HELP?!?!?!?

There are many different types of mop buckets and I have found if there is many videos on KZbin about each and every my bucket I had my bucket for 5 years upon fixing it it would have been sick but my dogs tore it up. If you look up the model number or any type of number on the bottom of the bucket I'm pretty sure that you might be able to find the exact name because if you do you type up the exact name on KZbin and it should come up or video corresponding to your mop bucket. When I have tried to fix it when my wheel didn't want to turn I took it apart and there was all kinds of rough down there so what I did was took sandpaper and send into shaft I use a little bit of the before you but I still send it send it some of these mop buckets are not meant to be 6 that's how they get you to me anymore and there are some mop buckets the sell individual parts for those particular mop bucket I hope I have helped you I wish you the best if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask and once again like I tell everybody I am not a professional thank you thank you

Yes that happened to me too I had to take the whole Rod out and send it with sandpaper and then I ended up Griezmann putting it back on which kind of helps with these biker to design the Pharaoh after couple years there is a way to make it work I'm pretty sure it is but I do my bucket away after my dogs chewed on it

It's held on with a c clamp but I eventually through mys away because it got just to bad an my dogs Tory it up if you want them to last buy the yellow mop buckets like schools an other big companies use. That's my opinion. I did an it has not given me any problems.

I don't know the exact size but if you lost your old ring you can get a rubber band and wrap it around there and that should help until you get an exact size o-ring but this is only going to work temporarily cuz eventually the spec it will give out but there is ways to save it and make it baths where is long as you choose to make it last I have not found the way because I do my bucket away after my dogs chewed on it

Done all of that several times and mine still slips going down on the pedal but catches going back up so basically it only spins going backwards but that doesn't give enough momentum. Mine is 5-6 yrs old ... Guess I will finally have to bite the bullet and get a new one.

I have bought two of these mops in less than a year I must say I use it very often but the little round gear near the top of the ringer goes bad and it becomes useless and on repairable, because the ringer will not spin, it is a simple and easy part to change but you can not buy the part. what a waist. I would like to buy a bucket that I can buy parts for because I use my mop so frequently and they are not made to last long.

FYI for others, I contacted the company for troubleshooting and they asked for pictures and sent an order number. I felt since I only had it 1 month, 5 uses that I just wanted a new one not malfunctioning and they sent it immediately. Great customer service.

Thats exactly what mine is doing and always has i thought it was normal until I used my moms! Spins perfect when empty but when I put my mop in it I gotta step on it then wait for it to come up before I press it again ughhh! UPDATE emailed ocedar and they sent me a replacement free of charge!

There is ONE part that gives some friction to the main metal rod that holds the basket. I tried warming it to reposition the little bearing type things. It didn’t work. I have had this one for three years! There’s another one that the mop-pole also rotate and it is powder blue. That’s the one I’m getting

Some mops can't be changed and some can this mop dos not it's not meant to last a long time, but there are some out there that can I suggest that you do some research depending on what your needs and wants or for the month and the mop bucket not a lot of people do research in my pocket but believe me if they put this together in the shop there's a way to take it apart you just got to buy it study it look at it and sometimes not at factors make videos on their products so therefore when you do research you already had all the information you need before you can purchase it
