How to flash BLHeli ESC with BLHeli Configurator

BHeli, BLHeli_S, and BlueJay are now "standard" ESC control and setup software for multirotor drones. Who even remembers a few years back we still had something called SimonK?
BLHeli won with superb performance and the ability to program ESC with a Windows app. But this app has a problem: it is Windows only. So, when some time ago BLHeli Configurator was created, it made life easier: all platforms supported, you only need it to run Chrome and you are golden.
Today I show how to use BLHeli Configurator to flash ESCs as well as change some basic settings.

Thank you Pawel. This video is getting a bit old but the interface still looks the same. I wasn't game to flash the firmware until I could see what version I already had. Too many numbers to tell what it was. ;)

I would like to see a vid on ppm min throttle setting in blheli and how it relates to min idle speed in betaflight. I noticed that in this video, your ppm min throttle settings were set very low, (as are mine) but others I see , they have ppm min throttle set around 1150-1180. Why would you want that set so high. Would you not have to set min idle speed up high as well in betaflight to spool up the motors and some quads may even start to lift at that setting. Any explaination would be appreciated. Thx.

Can you program any esc with blheli? I have an esc 120ah for my helicopter and do not know what brand. Doe the program let you see what you have? Can you program it from there with softstart lipocount and all that?

in trying to follow you here, the configurator only sees 2 of the 4 motors. how do i fix this issue?

Thanks for your video. How do I know which firmware to flash to, which code do I choose? Yours in the video was A-H-30 I believe. I have Spedix IS 30 esc’s I need to flash. They had Blheli S on them when I go them. Mine say Q-H-20 when I Read Setup, but don’t know if that is correct. Thanks for your help.

I'm faced with a similar question too! I can't seem to find any articles either on clarifying this or what any of the abbreviations mean.. Mine are currently set on the J-H-25, my ESC's are the Makerfire BLHeli_S 35A

Hi there, Cool Video and I´m new to the hobby and I´m a little bit confused? I followed all your steps, but when I hit read set up, nothing shows up? I mean there is no information at all. witam, mam mały problem, mam Favourite Little Bee BLheli_S 30a OPTO esc sklejone z lumenier lux na betaflight 3.3.3 podązałem za Twoimi wskazówkami i innych tez. Lecz nie udało mi sie podłaczyc pokazywało mi ze jest jakis error i configurator kazal mi zrestartowac fc... czy robie cos zle czy moj bzyk moze byc niekompatybilny do tzw passthrough?

Can I use different ESC on a build? How do I make them all work together? 3 escs have A-H-20 16.0 and the 4th has A-H-25 16.9.

that's not a problem, everything will work fine

@@FPVUniversity When I powered the quad up the escs booted at different times. I then changed the A-H-25 esc to 16.0 and now they power up at the same time. Have yet to fly still making sure it's all fine.
