My device is Xiaomi Redmi 6 and it only installs up to Android 14 lineageos gsi TD. Android 15 will not install and is not compatible with older phones and I even tried aosp and it didn't work.

hey mate, HyperOS is a stock firmware from Xiaomi. Now coming to your question, it is highly recommended that you flash a GSI ROM on top of your stock ROM only and not a custom ROM.
