Im 28 and been a panel beater since i was 17. Ive always wanted to do my on job for myself to make my own profit. Something always keeps me back from actually doing it but after watching your video ive created a copart account and currently looking for a car for myself to repair and drive for a few months, and sell for a profit hopefully 🙏🏻

I always try avoid outsourcing, only main outsource expense for me is transport/delivery but it's part of the budget. Parts I always find in colour now as it's just cheaper and less hassle and I do parts research to see what's available before bidding and committing :)

Agreed, bought mine with 43k miles for £4000 it's now at 62k miles (cat s) and I've been trying to get rid of it and it's the hardest thing to do.

Sold 36 cat s cars in 2024 all for 15-20% cheaper than non cat people just out the scare out there but people buy them no problem

@@mixtathetrixta Vic was dropped in 2017 when they changed cat c/d to cat s/n. VIC TEST was a waste of time if im honest. It didnt make sense.

@@mqk135 At this age i would say focus on your studies and dont get distracted. Keep an open mind about it though for the future. Get a part time job make some money and then if youre passionate about it, go for it. It does take up alot of time to do this correctly.

Great video brother, on copart website it says that cars cannot be taken away unless loaded onto a recovery/transport vehicle. How do you go about getting through that?

As above. Some yards will allow you to drive it away. Make sure you’ve got trade plates and a hi viz

It doesn't pay to buy salvage vehicles as you need engineers reports and cant get finance on them and I have known alot people buying jeeps within old car engine thrown into it, yes and u cant do nothing about it as listed not starting, copart and synetic are just cowboys, they constantly add fees for stupid things too

@@halfzed62 some yards allow some dont. All depends on experience. Im guessing if someone doesnt have a clue in the yard and is a hazard. Then they may stop you. Or someone trying to drive out a car thats missing a front end for example.
