Thank's a lot man! You made me train like a madman since i first watched your vid.! I origonaly do Budo, and watching you i thought: Hey these are much like my beloved Sai! So i went and bought a pair of training butterfly knifes. Boy was i right and wrong at the same time! After much experimentation i came to the conclusion that butterfly knifes are possibly the most promising and difficult weapon form i ever encountered. I am simply in love with these things, and currently working on adaptations of Sai Katas for butterfly knifef. I know this is unorthodox and sacrilegious, but the last time i had so much fun i was a little kid! So thank you for inspiring "sacrilige"!

Lol, please don't place your index finger on the blade to control the sword... you will get it cut off. Fingers from index to pinkey should ALWAYS be used to grip the sword handle. SMH...

You are right, the pinky does much to control the weapon which is often overlooked by many. However, I stand by this technique as for me, it is purely aesthetic. In a fighting context I wouldn't waste my time flipping them over and consequently lose reach, leverage, and stabbing abilities, with that said I also prefer to not have my finger extended during regular use.
