How to flip / reverse marine boat Yamaha 704 remote control throttle

If doing this to flip the control handle from the port side to stbd side of the housing for more clearance to steering wheel, change the position of the 2 limiting stop screws in the top of the housing so the engine goes to wide open throttle in forward gear. They have a nut locking threaded screw in place.

underneath the component with the two 10mm screws, there is a shim plate that also has to be reversed or the tension screw assembly will not line up correctly

Is the purpose to give more room for the wheel? I bought a blow mold helm and put everything on only to find that my wheel rubs up against the controls, is this my go to solution to give it some clearance? furthermore, the only hindrance would be controlling the trim with your pinky finger right?

Hi mate, I have one of these on my new boat and i notice theres no click feedback when it goes into gear. Is this something that can be remedied ?

Thanks for the demonstration but Way way too fast. Your hands block most all of the hardware during the reversal Had to replay 10-15 times
