I tend to use and hide (a lot of) helium blocks usually near the deck of the ship or within the superstructure along with some ballast blocks on the very bottom. But the downside is the more block you have the lagger it gets (it might be just a me problem) Thx for some new tips!

And for ballast user not put ballast in the middle but in the side if you try turn with ballast at the middle your boat gonna capsize

I simply use ice blocks at the waterline, this provides incredible stability and if sometimes the ice is not at the right level (too high), this time I use ice blocks. ballast so that it sinks. This is a better technique, both aesthetically and technically. Otherwise great video 👍

i wanna add that a friend of mine suggested i add wing panels to the bottom the underwater section of the ship to increase bouyancy. and ngl it kinda works? but i question how effective it is..

@ because i use OG materials and blocks, and also im used to solving problems on my own. But for my boat, it would tip over, and when i didnt have the best gyro settings, it would break. Thats until i searched for a tutorial, found this, and worked so much better

Do pontoons work well as well as 5x5 cylinders?

That depends. They generate a lot more buoyancy due to their functionality, but they are significantly laggier when employed on a large scale. They are best used on smaller vessels.

If you want to do that, you may be able to cover them up beneath the hull. This reduces some of the lag benefits though.

yeah, it's kinda one of those things you have to accept for this method.

@@USBCord basically yes, for simple controls. But there is pretty possible today to make realistic balanced ships on plane crazy and my ships have that technique aswell which I love to see them literally angling on turn or when being dropped in water from a side , their balance flips it automatically as real physics back to vertical position
