I just bought some recollections flocking from Michaels because they were on sale for a dollar but I didn't know how to use them. I was like "what the flock is going on?!" then I found your video. Thanks for showing us how to use them ;)

Thanks! The stamp is from Posh through I Brake for Stamps. Maybe they still have it, but they retired al Posh images about a week ago. The stamp cleaner I use is the Solvent ink cleaner from Judikins. Thanks for watching. JIL

Thanks for sharing this info. I have been wanting to try this technique out, but was hesitant because I didn't want to waste the money if it didn't work. This will be great for Christmas cards. Have fun creating!

Thanks for watching. Yes, I did try the Martha Stewart glue pad & I love it. I found the glue to be stickier than the Tsukineko glue pad. JIL

@stampyra I was cleaning my scrap station last night and found some of these from Micheal's. I will try them out for sure. I am thinking I will have some rockin' Christmas cards. Muhahahahaaa! Stay creative!

@lazycatz37 Thanks for that pointer. I do have some of that. I found that the flock goes on a bit too thick. I get great results with the Martha Stewart glue pad, but the camera really didn't show that off. The flowers will come later in the week. JIL

I played with flocking to day and had no luck at all. I tried the Stampin' up heat n stick powder(which I don't know why I tried this as I have NEVER had good luck with it) and the Pallette glue pad. Thanks for showing this video, I will have to get a martha pad. Thanks for the video.

@kkaisu I haven't seen one good thing about the pallette glue pad, that's why I avoided it. I don't really use the sticky powder with flock, you have to heat it just right to get it sticky & it dries up if you heat it too longor if you don't use it right away. Let me know if the martha pad works for you. I really liked the results. JIL

I'm really glad this video helped you. Flocking is tons of fun. I've noticed that they have it again at Michael's. Enjoy! JIL

That's pretty much it. Just be sure to clean everything that comes into contact with the glue pad. Also, pour the excess flock back into the jar. The rooster is just poured over the smaller sections & I pour it away from the glue when getting off the excess. JIL

Very nice video! Got a question.. I found a glue pan on Amazon for $3.00. The Palette Stamp & Stick Glue Pad.. but it's just the glue pad! Can I use any glue for it that will wash off? I have a gallon of Elmer's Glue.. Could I use that? I can put it in a small bottle to apply it to the pad with. I just don't see what the difference in the glue is and those tiny bottles for the stamp pads cost so much! I try to be frugal when it comes to shopping & save any where I can! Thank's for your help.. Have a Blessed Day & Happy Crafting :-)

Southern Angel I'm surprised that the stamp pad didn't come with the glue. It is a special type of glue that will wash out of the pad. I don't think that elmer's glue will was out. It's a different type of glue. Some types of glues are made to stay tacky forever or until they are heat set. That's what makes them special. That's why you want the glue that it made for the ink pad. I always try to be frugal & save money where I can too. Sorry I don't have a better answer for you. JIL

If you use an adhesive stamp pad like I did, the flocking dries in minutes. I've never bothered to use a heat gun on it, but I probably wouldn't. It may bubble your adhesive. JIL

Hello! I would imagine that you could stamp onto sticker paper as opposed to card stock to make it into a sticker. If you try it, please let me know how it works for you. JIL

Hi, the flocking powder you used is from what company? Can I use the flock that's for nail? Is it the same thing? Thanks
@stampyra11 жыл бұрын
Hello, I used flocking from Michael's dollar bins. I have also used flock from Martha Stewart Crafts & Stampendous. I have no idea what the flocking for nails is. I'm guessing it might be the same. Just try it in a small spot to see if it works. Thanks for watching my video. JIL

Btw how long does it take for the flocking to dry? Can you use the heat gun on it?
