This is so good, I've been trying to find a good tutorial on quiet bison and flume for ages. The wave table section pretty much answered everything I was wanting to know and the hi hat gating is something I'm going to play around with more now.

It’s probably the way it was edited, was probably a 7-10 min recording chopped down to be constant-paced. Takes me a minimum of 9 months to finish a song (which is fast for me)

This was a really great video, but I think you could easily expand it and slow down and explain some of the techniques and things you do, and go a little further in finishing the sound 👍🏻 love it though! Liked and subscribed

I appreciate the advice a lot and definitely see where you're coming from, i could maybe do some streams or song constructing videos of longer length in the future that go more in depth to my processes. I may keep the structure of these kind of tutorials somewhat short to keep attention suited for gen z and adhd minds because i find myself skipping around on other tutorials that explain things super slowly lol.
@danielpaton43302 жыл бұрын
@@dnksaus yeah I see where you’re coming from regarding attention deficit. I think the sweet spot could be between 5-10 minutes so you get a little more time to explain and finish the concepts while also not being a full stream. Or you could always stream it and just cut it down to post 👍🏻 looking forward to more videos!!

Nice tutorial but the RC-21 Rack cannot be added to my channel for some reason when I am trying to recreate this sound? It cannot be added to a new and clean midi as well, any ideas on why it does not work?

It’s embarrassing for quiet bison to be such an obvious ripoff of flume. He has some songs that I enjoy but it is astounding how blatantly he copied his style lol
@dnksaus2 жыл бұрын
I disagree, I think they both started using granular synthesis around the same time and quiet bison has his own kind of flavor of pattern that differentiates himself. I can agree he is heavily inspired by flume, but he has his own take on it. Plus, they have a collab coming out on flume's new album next month.
@G7777K2 жыл бұрын
@@dnksaus i wasn’t aware that he was working with flume, still, the album art looks so similar & he’s even collaborating with the same vocalists. Just a little too similar in my opinion.
