What I took from this. You have to put yourself in situations where it allows you to trigger an individual flow state. Depending on the individual, those triggers vary. For me, its my purpose that leads me. The other triggers helps me to narrow down my focus to keep me in flow. Being mindful and aware of your goals helps with recognizing the direction you need to go to attain flow. Sacrificing certain pleasures and comfortableness is a must but not a given. You can capture all these using the plethora of states of mind. Even combining states of mind to form a multidimensional state of mind. Bio hack your consciousness. Bio hack your body. Bio hack your spirit. Answers come to you.

There's nothing that I really do to focus better. For me it depends on my intrest, time allotted and worries at home. Normally in a must focus situation I've been known to put back lots of caffeine to keep me from falling asleep. All in all nothing is being learned because my mind begins to wonder.

Once someone asked centipede how do you manage with 100 legs, what a perfect co-ordination.And when centipede contemplated on it,he could not move and get frozen there. Its generally happens by own, with effort. Flow is spiritual type of thing,Hindi mei kehte hei--lagan lag gayi, lehar mei hona, dhuni lag gaye, yah dhyan lag gaya.Abh woh chahe kuch bhe ho,maashooq ho yah bhagwan.

@@kmwrites7456 Andrew Huberman discusses the science of flow state and makes the claim that pushing past discomfort is a much more reliable way to learn. Flow state imo comes after you’ve become skilled enough to get into flow state and hold onto it.

You want to be Beethoven or Jimmy Page you aint going to do it by learning 'Flow', its the hard truth.... the only way you will get Flow, is by getting off your ass and putting in the hours every single day, obsessed and focused because you want to be...I find this lecture interesting but you've either got it or you havent.

this is petty I know, but important to me as a woman: does he ever refer to any women doing research in the various fields of flow? Has he ever had an interview (Kotler being the interviewer) with women who are succeeding in their fields and apply the science/art of flow in their work or play?
