Yes, we do that sometimes. Especially when baby naps. But most of the time I just lay it on top of the cover or pocket diaper and put a stay dry liner on tops. I am seriously in love with that Imagine flats I got from you!!! Now I want the Elephant prints ones 😂😂😂😂.

I love your trick on the organic fold to fold the outside wing in the middle while you close it up. That gives more absorbency in the middle. And I'm going to try your pad fold in an origami tomorrow for nap time 👍 my imagine flats are very rectangular, I can't fold them onto baby, only padfold. Your videos are great 😊 I'm way too lazy to edit, I don't know how you find the time!

+Ellen V.S. Thank you!!! I'm loving the origami fold plus pad fold. Works wonderful on my heavy wetter. I have imagine flats and hopefully my son doesn't outgrow them any time soon. 😅 Thank you!!! ❤️ Lol! It's hard! I've been drinking lots of coffee🙈☕️🙊

+Faith's Attic Haha, I don't like coffee, but have been pretty regular with the black tea 😉 my imagine flats are really old, they don't look like yours in the video. They must have changed the dimensions. I have had mine for probably 3 years.

Hi thanks for uploading your flat diaper videos they are very informative :-) I have 3yo still in diapers and looking at trying flats for the first time. Will they be ok to use on a big toddler? Did you ever try them the traditional way with pins and pull on pants? that seems to be the cheapest option for me at this late stage.
@sidneyboo97044 жыл бұрын
They might need a XL flat but generally yes. I love flats because they can be customized to whatever your baby is.

Question about the fleece liner.. is this a cloth diaper specific thing, or just cut fleece in a size good for a liner?
@FaithsHomemaking8 жыл бұрын
No, its not cloth diaper specific. You can buy fleece liners that are specially made for cloth diapers. Smart bottoms and Imagine are couple brands that sell liners. But, you can always cut your own fleece to your liking. =)

how does one do cloth diapers on the go? How do you handle the poo when you are on a road trip or at a party?
@melissasites10443 жыл бұрын
In your diaper bag you should always carry a waterproof bag. When we cloth diapered, and there was a poo, you rinse the poo into a toilet after you change it off the baby (and put a new one on him and carry him off the changing table). I always carried a water bottle with a squirting end, that I used for his little washcloths that we carried instead of disposable wipes. So it was easy to get the worst of the poo off into the toilet and flush it away. If you are doing a change in the middle of nowhere and there is no toilet, just bundle the diaper up in its cover and wrap it securely in water proof bags. You'll just have a little more work when you get home, no big deal.

Hello thanks for sharing, question though. I noticed you put a fleece liner on the pad fold but so you also use them for the other folds? You didn’t mention love the idea of the wraps but seems like a lot to do, fold them and add inserts. But I don’t want baby to have a rash.
@FaithsHomemaking5 жыл бұрын
Great question! I put a fleece liner on the pad fold because thats what I used for my sensitive to wetness baby/toddler. But, if your baby/toddler doesn’t have a wetness sensitivity then you don’t need to use the fleece liners. My youngest didn’t have a wetness sensitivity so I didnt have to use fleece liners in his cloth diapers. ☺️ I hope this answered your question. 🌻

Hi! This is a great video! What is the size of these flats? Also, would they be useful for my 6 month old?

@tanveepatwardhan3155 жыл бұрын
@@FaithsHomemaking okay! Do you happen to know the exact size (in cm)?
@mamagg24444 жыл бұрын
I use the kite fold and pad fold for my 4 year old at night still. Babies do start growing out of the origami fold as that fold does not adjust for the child getting taller. The flat diapers from Green Mountain Diapers do wash up a good square size, and so makes diaper folding much easier. They also have oversized flats, that you can get the origami fold for bigger babies, and are better Size in general for the toddler years.

Hi so I’m confused with the oragami ones do we need an insert or like another one to buy it or we can just clip and leave it on them ?
@FaithsHomemaking4 жыл бұрын
No, you don't need an insert, it's optional. If you do use inserts on top of the origami folded flat then you would just lay it on top. 🌸

How to wash in washing machine? Thanks
@mamagg24444 жыл бұрын
Make sure to put #2 in the toilet so that is not going in the washing machine. (Unless baby is still exclusively breastfeeding, that is water so soluable). I do a prewash in the machine cold, then main wash in hot. Usually have 1 extra rinse at the end but not necessary. Dry on low to avoid excess shrinkage and lint.

How long we can use this diapers??
@FaithsHomemaking5 жыл бұрын
What do you mean? 🌸
@mamagg24444 жыл бұрын
It depends on the amount in your stash. More diapers in your stash means they won’t wear out as fast due to diaper rotation. Drying on low instead of high will also extend the life of your diapers. Though diapers can handle extra hot was, it is better to avoid the sanitizing cycle and stick with hot, as extra hot really wears them out faster. Washing diapers frequently so that the cotton isn’t sitting in acidic pee for long helps too. In general, the flats should be adequate to go through your child’s diapering years, though getting a little worn Out by the end. If you are expecting again, it is a good idea to get a new set of flats for that baby, as the old stash really will be on their last legs, though I still use old stash as extra liners and padding in the new diapers. As long as you can learn different folds for your growing baby, flats can be used on a child at almost any age. My grandmother with a handicapped son had used Regular flats for him at 30 years of age. She had to triple layer the flat and make a envelope fold without folding it in quarters first. So it can be done.
