Hey yeah, it is a sponge. Remember to have something soft under the snake so you can’t hurt it by pushing too hard.

I've did it couple hours ago. I have 3 new Deinagkistron acutus that refuse to eat pinkish and gecko, so I decided to assist feeding. Its been a month since I purchased them. Hopefully monsoon will come soon, so I can collect tadpole and froglets.

Yeah, i believe it’s sometimes less stress for the animal than constantly trying to make them bite and eat out of defensiveness.
