You have a perfect "Radio Announcer" voice. I could listen to you teach on anything and enjoy it. You have my rapt attention all the way to the end. Excellent instruction !

very cool, I bet most people dont know how hard forging a straight bladed dagger is, many of my knives have crazy-looking curved blades but the truth is they got that way against my will and I finally gave up and went with it!

This was really informative and your articulate explanation of the methodology of creating a strong dagger was accessible to the lay person. For the beginning blacksmith, this video will be valuable resource. Someone commented below the pleasantness of your voice and I concur. Thank you for sharing your craft.

I'm unlikely to ever be able to forge, stock removal consumes enough space and makes enough mess already, but I love these videos. So much interesting information. I am really looking forward to the rest of the series :)

I recently acquired some 2" wide stock, and I was thinking about cutting it in half lengthwise before working it into a blade. This video is steering me toward drawing it out and upsetting it to the dimensions I want. Great content as always Sam.

Both are viable options, it just depends on your desired thickness. Thankyou for watching@

Ever thought of making a Rondel dagger? Very underrated dagger that I haven't seen any contemporary bladesmith do a more modern interpretation of it.
