Really great job brother I’m a blade smith from Australia and I’m forging a rose for my beautiful mother’s grave stone it’s the first time I’ve attempted something like this I’m making it from a plow disk so it’s a lot of forge work Thanks for sharing your technique great commentary........

Thanks for the instructional video and link to the laser cut pedals, as well as the finish video for coloring. I made two of these today for the first time, one for my mother and one for my wife, both for Mother's day tomorrow. I even got the kids to help in some parts which they loved. The roses both came out great. Thanks again from a fellow Brother in Christ.

One of the best forged rose tutorials I’ve seen, it is nice to see the process beginning to end in one video. Nearly 13000 views and only 252 likes, shame after all the effort you put in, a mouse click is too much to ask for.Keep up,the great work.

That rose is really beutiful and looks so real compared to other videos that I've watched...... forget the other videos...... it just looks real!!!! If I ever get enough skill to do this, I'm going to be really, really happy! Thanks for sharing this with us 😊👏👏👏👏👏👏

going to try and convince my welding teacher to use our auto plasma cutter and get me a few of these templates so I try my hand at one of these! All other demonstrations I see I haven't been near as realistic looking as this is
@ChristCenteredIronworks7 жыл бұрын
+Savanna Harvey I'm glad you like the video and thank you for the compliment on the work. To have these plasma cut out is definitely a great option you can do a few of them by cutting them out yourself but they get to be a pain in the butt after a few dozen LOL. Thank you for taking the time to watch God bless you

I watched all the way through though I skipped some parts like when I was being shown sanding paper for a minute 😂 Watched it while filing a footlong knife I made from a 3/4" rebar. I have been practicing making these roses but they take me a bit longer because I make them out of 0.7mm thick plate sheets and cut them by hand and then bend them cold. I need to get me a burner like yours to make things easier and since these thins are available online, it'll make my Christmas sales a lot more productive and faster. Thank you so very much for these videos, sure you like to talk but at least the audience won't miss out on any information. Also, one can always turn off the sound instead of sending a bloody angry mail, that's just petty.

Great detailed video. Excellent result. I really like the leaves split as you have them. I shall have to try. Is that what you call a Rosebud tip on your gas torch? They aren't common here in England although I did find them for sale on the BOC (Brit Oxy Co) website. They're quite expensive compared to a standard nozzle for welding or cutting and then the shank is separate and costs as much again. I usually just use a standard oxy-acet welding nozzle or if a large heat volume is needed a standard oxy-propane cutting nozzle. I like the welding nozzle because of the smaller pinpoint flame. It would make the heating of the tenon a lot more precise without a large heat spread onto the petals. Anyway, not trying to tell you your job, lol. Thanks for the uploads.

Loved the video and watched till the end. You will always get detractors in whatever you do, whether in 'real' life' or on You Tube. The ones who make the most criticism are usually the ones who do very little themselves. As they say - 'Empty vessels always make the most noise'. :-)
