Great job! All other so-called blacksmiths I know are simply welding two separate scrolls together and the result usually is lame poor looking fake,covered in welding spatters.Respect to Aquairon Ltd.

Very nice work Brother, I wish I could learn such a trade that still involves steel, sweat, and tears...Keep up the good work.

That's incredible work. Is the video accelerated slightly, or is it actual speed? Also, just to clarify, this is mild steel rather, correct?
@Aquairon9 жыл бұрын
+doggonemess It is the actual speed. And yes, you are correct it is mild steel.

Are you sure this is wrought iron and not mild steel? My understanding is cameras make steel look hotter, and you seem to be forging this at a red color to the camera, which, from what I've read, is below wrought iron forging temperature. Beautiful scroll nonetheless. That second scroll jig you made is pretty slick.

+somanayr It is mild steel.

wrought iron or mild steel? I thought they stopped producing wrought iron in the 70's.
@Aquairon9 жыл бұрын
+doom832 They still produce wrought iron, but this is mild steel. aquairon.com/files/products/IMG_0435.JPG - at this photo are shown scroll samples from real wrought iron, forged by our blacksmith.

Thank you. I'm feeling a little guilty seeing all these smiths working spreading knowledge and the only thing I can pass on is "The Iron is hot....ALWAYS".
