Years and years ago, I was involved in forming and rebar for a huge driveway (like, 30 feet wide, and 75 feet long) for a fella, who had his "Engineer Friend" work out what we needed to do. We ended up with #4 rebar spaced every 12 inches in the thing, with 6 inches of thickness, and a 12 inch thick footer around the edge, with its own rebar in it. A guy from the county happens to drive by and stops to look at it, asks why we put so much rebar. We tell him because the owner said so. county guy says if you could find a big enough crane, you could lift the entire driveway as a single slab if you wanted to with that much steel in it. Always wondered about that. watching your videos on driveways, and what you did here for parking an RV on it, I'm inclined to say he only exaggerated a little bit.

Hey David I done concrete for about 25 years I always had to put the radius form in first I see you put the stakes first do you have a video on doing that I still do some concrete every now and then

I dont use Partner. I have in the past maybe 20 years ago and had a lot of trouble starting it. Now I use Stihl The old style two stroke. My Stihl authorized mechanic said don't get rid of this one the new ones are in the shop a lot more often

You aught to figure out a way to get a mini skidsteer they are incredible, I'd pay for its self in time savings so quick. They fit through almost any gate so you can get them in nearly any backyard.
@OdellCompleteConcrete6 жыл бұрын
The problem with those mini skidsteers, unstable prone to fall over, the bucket is about the same size as a wheelbarrow. Has to be something better
@jasong51636 жыл бұрын
David check out the new Toro 1000. Bucks are about 3 times the size. There is also a 2000 series with telescoping arms for easy truck loading.

Are there any regulations (in the US/state/county/whatever) that only x% of your land is allowed to be sealed (because of water seepage)? All this big concrete stuff is basically unknown here in europe/germany.

Why pump when a chute would work?

My only thought is how and why anyone would improve any property in California with the direction of the leftists that govern the state? I guess people really love the place in spite of it's headlong run to bankruptcy and social chaos. I can't be that crazy because their all moving into my city here in PHX!
