How to Form an Anonymous LLC

This is actually a simple process. The problem that will occur is when trying to open a business bank account. No one seems to advise how to get a business bank account with an anonymous llc, what documents you will have to show to the Bank to prove the LLC belongs to you.

Every bank has a different process which is why you won't get a clear answer. Smaller community banks and credit unions have more flexibility when it comes to this so you should explore those options instead of going to the big banks. The cost of anonymity is convenience.

Hello can getting a registered agent service and third party organizer be enough to keep personal info off of state sites in non anonymous states ?

Hi! It would be enough only if in your example the registered agent service also appears on the state filings as an authorized representative of the company. This is the case in Florida. However, it is unlikely a registered agent service would be willing to serve as an authorized representative.

Thanks for the info. What is the benefit of forming a 2nd LLC in Florida for anonymity vs using the anonymous Nevada LLC and operating out-of-state?

The main benefit in my opinion with staying in FL with both LLCs is that you are dealing with one agency for LLC filings/compliance. You get very good anonymity protection in Nevada but you'll have to deal with filings/compliance from two different states. It's a bigger deal for some more than others.

So im starting a business from Ga, but if i were to use an LLC from Nevada , wouldn’t they require me to use my name address etc? How would i receive mail or even get approval from the state if I don’t even live there?

There is a difference between the information you need to give to the state to register a business and the information that shows up on the public record. You don't need to reside in Nevada to register a business there. However, you do need a registered agent with a Nevada address.

People who use virtual addresses and form anonymous LLCs are usually more focused on privacy and liability protection than business funding. From my experience, virtual addresses and anonymous LLCs are not perceived as favorably to lenders as more traditional businesses. It's not impossible to get lending with anonymous and virtual businesses, but it may not be as simple.

It depends on the state. Wyoming and Nevada are popular because of the minimal requirements they have for forming LLCs but the general requirements are going to differ from state to state.

After setting up anonymous llc in Wyoming. When filling out my home state(Florida )annual report.. at the last step it says “ type name of individual signing” Do I type in my Wyoming llc or my actual name ? 👀👀😴

Good question. You should be able to type in the name of the Wyoming LLC because the Wyoming LLC is the member of the FL LLC.

How much more expensive is it to do an anonymous LLC? Is there a much bigger expense?

The filing fees are a couple hundred dollars more because you are now dealing with multiple LLCs to execute this. However, if you are using an attorney to execute this correctly, it will invest more money to ensure protection.
