@talis.mp429 күн бұрын
its not a lense filter, its a vignette, it happens because the camera his using (sony fx3) is full frame and the lense his using is aps-c format so the frame dont cover the whole full frame so it looks like that, you can also achieve this with a "filter" but won't look the same honestly

Thanks for this man :) Woul you recommend to shoot in 60fps or lower? When I try to speedramp it comes across a choppy when I film at 30fps
@mayz2k10 ай бұрын
Record in a higher fps so that when you slow your videos down when time/speed ramping, its less choppy. If you shoot in 60fps and have your project timeline in 30fps, you're able to slow your video down by up to 50% without it looking very choppy or natural. If you were to film at 30fps and use a 30fps timeline, whenever you slow it down, there would be still frames because all 100% of your frames are already being used, and when you slow videos down, it spaces each frame further apart. That's why whenever you shoot in something like 120fps in a 30fps composition, your footage is viewed as 30fps, but by stretching it out, you can slow it down to 25% speed, because 30/120=1/4, which is 25%. If that makes sense
@pablojr.v10 ай бұрын
@@mayz2k Hey man appreciate the reply, makes a bit more sense when slowing it down and the explanation at the end is great :). But when I'm trying to SPEED it up it also looks choppy for some reason. Like trying to speed up by 500% the last 2 seconds of a clip and also transitioning to 500% speed up the first 2 seconds of another clip. if that makes sense.
@mayz2k10 ай бұрын
I get what you're saying. From my experience, the only time speeding up a clip has ever made it appear any bit choppy was if I was speeding it up too fast. Since when you speed up a clip, you're essentially removing/skipping frames and moving the other ones closer. The more you speed up a clip in this scenario, the more frames that are being skipped, making your video look less smooth & dynamic. Its like if I took a video of my cutting up an apple. If I speed up the video a whole lot, at some point it may just look like pieces of the apple are being sliced immediately, versus seeing the whole knife chopping action. A way to combat this if you're really insist on speeding up your footage to that high of a degree is to either utilize plugins like RSMB to smoothen out speed ramping, or something like Twixtor, which simply adds blurred motion on & in between your frames to make your footage look smoother,@@pablojr.v
@pablojr.v10 ай бұрын
@@mayz2k Okay that actually makes so much sense, speeding a 30fps clip is making it "lag" but at a faster rate. Thank you my friend, learned a lot today :D
