Nice, my carpenter angles the upright pieces so the steps are the right length and you have more room for your toes.

Nice! But when you remove the forms and cut the wire don't you have some of the wire poking out? Or you cut it close enough that you don't see it. Thanks.
@QueHayConBotello
@QueHayConBotello 2 жыл бұрын
Correct, cut the wire close to the concrete and then bend it in. Then you use some of the leftover concrete to fill the hole. It won't be noticeable.

Buen trabajo gracias cuntas bolsas de cemento ocupas para esos dos escalones gracias Y cuánto tiempo se deja para secar para quitar la madera gracias
@QueHayConBotello
@QueHayConBotello Жыл бұрын
Para estos escalones use media yarda de cemento y la razón es que no me vendian menos, pero se llevo 3 carretilladas a tres cuartos de llena. Equivalente a 15 bolsas de 80 lbs.

Do you use pliers to tighten the nails holding the wire?
@QueHayConBotello
@QueHayConBotello 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Denny Martin. Thanks for asking. No I didn't, the only thing I use was a nail to twist inside of the forms. Real simple!

Hi Website finished, thank you for watching my video. I use regular tie wire, you can find it at the home depot or similar stores.

How long before taking down de 2x4?
@QueHayConBotello
@QueHayConBotello 4 жыл бұрын
Eli Martinez, thank you for asking. It all depends on the mix you are using and the temperature when you are pouring, but normally it takes about 45 minutes to an hour before you strip the form, other way you can check it with your finger and make sure it's hard enough so the concrete won't collapse. Do not remove the form if the concrete is still soft or wet. Hope that will answer your question. 😁 thank you for watching my video.

I think your landing should a least have a minimum of 36 inches to pass inspection
@QueHayConBotello
@QueHayConBotello 3 жыл бұрын
I totally agree with you Marbin Torres, if the steps were made on the front of the house and it depends where you live too. Some city's they don't inspect inside of the owners property line and some they inspect every little thing.

Top step is way to small. Needs to be bigger than the bottom and shoulda dialed rebar into the foundation of house as well
@QueHayConBotello
@QueHayConBotello 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment Jason. The slab is reinforced with 1/2 dowel bars every 24" centers so if the slab moves the step will move with it and the top step is 14" long same as the bottom one.
