Not many people know but 2,2 into KIN on block can also set up frame traps. Kincho Dash (KIN>F) recovers slightly faster than his stance attacks ONLY after 2,2, therefore you can do an input sequence such as 2,2KIN>F>F2 or 22KIN>F>1+2. You only need to do the Kincho dash for a frame for it to work. Many players try to take their turns back after 2,2 and it works so often lol. The stance cancel goes from -1 to roughly +4 if done as fast as possible
@aflockofbricks89882 ай бұрын
I've tested with this a bit and I'm not getting the +4 you talked about. Is this still a thing? it sounds absolutely busted if it is, cant replicate it though

I might have missed it, but don't forget ff3 into KIN f2. Whole thing is guaranteed on hit even. It's kinda busted haha
@jovan73659 ай бұрын
ss4> kensho leaves you +, idr how plus but it can beat jabs by going straight into f2. Safe high heat engage. Also I love doing df3> ws32 because people usually respect the second hit out of fear of getting hit by the df3 follow up, but then mash on the 3rd hit giving a full counter hit launcher.
@QDogg8 ай бұрын
SS+4 into KIN 1+2 is also uninterruptible.
@AgoraphobicNews6 ай бұрын
If you notice that they are ducking while doing manji, just go backwards while performing manji, and the opponent will automatically start going toward you from crouching stance. And then you literally break his "crouch evasion" by forcing him to move forward and hit him.

After playing against yoshimitsu at high level since tekken 6 I can confirm these are yoshimitsu main staple setups (minus the tekken 8 stuff). Great video this stuff works at high level also. I might even start using yoshi myself 😊

Thanks bro, this is some good stuff. Didn't know about df3 leaves him in crouch state for a split sec.

2,2 into KINCHO b1+2 is an awesome tech tbh It's a very evasive move and it's unblockable And you can delay to bait them into it

Nice in-depth video as always! Sometimes I like using 2, b+1 and do an u+2 (the spin keeps on going lol) to end up tripping the opponent. 👌 😏

Great tips. I'm revisiting the older Tekken games and I tell you Yoshi in TTT is almost like unlearning what he is in T8, lol. Still incredibly fun but when I get back into Tekken 8, I feel like I'm going to have to relearn Yoshimitsu all over again 🥲 Also when you are done with Lee, do a Claudio guide next 😁

B1,1 into b3,3 or b4,4 is pretty decent tech +1 frame isn't really spectacular but it's pretty cool as a poke check thing + b1,1,1,1,1,1 is REALLY good against power crush attacks And b1,1 to b3,3,3,3 is really good vs rage arts (should still be at least? it was a GREAT tech in T7 anyway)
@delusional-lobo8 ай бұрын
true on that, I would even do b1 in mid-close range to check opponents then go for flash or cd2 😊

When they duck i use manji 1 not only 4, manji 1 is a mid and it launches in heat . open to me alot of second combo opportunity if my opponent usually ducks my manj forward 1+2
@RobotronSage8 ай бұрын
KINCHO 2 1+2 is an amazing move cause you can whiff the 2 and the 1+2 is literally a hold till release (do we know how many frames it takes for 1+2 to hit after releasing the input??? cause it seems hella fast)
@RobotronSage8 ай бұрын
So you can easily react on and bait a counterhit with that move

Please stop doubling the frame advantage plus 8 for you is equal to minus 8 for the opponent, same value being represented on different side of the equation.

I get the criticism but there's others that may not understand why the frame trap works and need further explanations to the guide.
@thesaltmerchant4564Ай бұрын
Hard disagree you can just take the strings and use them i like having the comics text of how you apply the strings and frame traps in the context of matches
