A big tip I have for this is to take a tall floor lamp and place it when you want the item while the counters are there, so you have a better idea of where it will go.

I use this when I make vanities 😂 another great thing to do is to place something small at either end of wherever you want your counter/desk/shelf to go. This really helps if you want to put something off grid. I like to place kids toys since they don't interfere with anything

or u can use the cc OMSP shelves which is an invisible space. u can move all the objects on 1 counter, as opposed to this method. wayyy better imo

This is because EA has refused to fix this and add many many spots on which things can be placed on a counter, or many of the other items in which you can place something!!

there's also one more technique. You choose a table that is the same height as the counter/table, make it smaller, then put the thing we want on it. Again, the sims 3 camera to rotate freely + Alt. And also BB. moveobjects on. we put it into the counter/table where we want it to be, and done! Most of the clutter doesn't do that, it's more of a problem with computers and appliances

I think Home Chef Hustle or For Rent changed the underlying rules for counters, so these old techniques don't work right anymore.

I can't get my kitchen to do that and it's frustrating to me! I have bb.moveobjects enabled but when I press the small bracket key on my keyboard, it just deselects the counter/surface. As far as moving the counter top around, I press the Alt key and use my mouse and that works, but I can't get it to blend in with the surface I'm trying to use it for, either. I am wanting to keep my coffee maker functional but whenever i try to position my machine on a non-counter surface, my machine is red like it won't function, yet I place my mug display rack and it does what you're doing here. Does this cheat not work for countertop appliances? Am I doing something wrong?

You will have to change your camera mode to the sims 3 in the right corner, then you click the item and hold the alt key down and you should be able to drag the item to whatever angle you’d like!

This is possible by using the Sims 3 camera and holding down alt while you keep holding the left mouse button to rotate an object.

All of this as opposed to EA putting more landing spots on the counters.. they could put 20 spots on a counter if they wanted to.. once you place something on a counter and it locks onto a spot provided, you can move the counter and the items locked on go with it.. as opposed to doing it this way, you pull that counter and nothing comes with it, all them items you placed stay because they are not locked onto the counter.. demand EA fix it by adding more landing spots on counters and other surfaces.. they just got lazy..
