Intended purposes? Can you be a little more vague in a broader sense? Their intention? Hmmm, what would a giant corporation want to use our personal data for? Oh no, not to profile us or our habits and preferences, oh no, but just for the purpose of backing up our data. Yes, that's it, use and store our data just for our backups! Yeah right!

what about the photo encrypting software and browser bookmarks non-synched with google? Will this allow the backup of those settings or just the memorization of what was installed, but not those... or even game saves that should be internal... ? It's not like a windows restore point... right? Maybe there's no such thing yet... too bad, this is the major flaw with Android systems so far, I think

Sir ek baat puchni h while backup frm mobile to pc it was showing two options in the screen One is Internal & another was external data so I wanna ask isme sirf phone ka internal storage & external storage hi backup hua hai ya isme SD card ka bhi backup hua h coz maine jab kia tha toh bohat time lga approx 2.5 hrs

If sd card is present in your phone then your pc will also backup your sd card.

@@TechnoSaquib oh that's why It was taking so much time coz I only took the backup from mobile to pc but didn't restore it on mobile cos my hard reset thing is still left to do , now since it's all mixed up in smart switch app in PC it's bit hard to identify if I reset my mobile without sd card & sim then if I try to do backup from PC won't it be a bad Idea ? Coz there will be higher chance that mobile may not be able to take the whole backup which includes even SD Card data so in this what to do are there any option in which Smart switch ask before restoring data otherwise It may create issue

@@akriti_bangtan7245 it would be better if you will take backup of your phone after removing the sd and sim card , and after reset you can restore your device without sd and sim card because card's data is not going any where it will remain on it. After all the process you can l insert your cards.

Offcourse it backup your all media files as you can see in the video. But it cannot backup your other files like .exe ,dll, and other format s. But this software can only backup and restore Samsung smartphone. I hope you understand. Thank you for comment.

Ehsan Majidy I had the same problem, I contacted Samsung support and they sent me a link to download onto my computer before I downloaded smart switch, after it had installed, I then downloaded smart switch successfully. The only problem I have now is, when I connect my phone to my computer and click backup, a message appears saying the backup has been cancelled, to proceed with backup again, disconnect and reconnect the cable. I’ve done this several times and still can’t backup my phone to my computer!

@@TechnoSaquib nop, i selected only what i wanted to back up music, photos, videos, contacts, messages ,voice memos, s note files. And it turns out some folders with music were not backed up.. i had a folder with 5gb of music and only 1 music was backed up. I would rather recommend using traditional ways of manual back up of important file than using that tool.
