Not for photography but for my design clients, COMMUNICATION! It helps to set expectations, involve them in the process and create a legitimate working relationship. It’s helped massively to build my business and get referral and repeat business!

Doing different things to get them out of their heads like a few actions shots to warm them up. I remind them there’s no right and wrong but just to have fun and be in the moment. Depending on the clients I can act silly or goofy to make them feel more at ease.

I love your videos! Can you possibly do a video on how you set up your Nikon mirrorless for manual mode when you get it? Like preferred settings, etc? 😊 just got a camera and am having a hard time getting the correct settings.

Thanks Alexis!! And love this suggestion! 🤗📸 I’ve been using my Nikon Z6II all wedding season and would love to do a video sharing my setup some of the things I’ve discovered. Do you mind me asking what specifically you’ve struggled with / what problems you’ve run into when it comes to the settings?

6:49 I set my aperture and shutter speed and then use the control ring on my RF glass to change the ISO. It has been a game changer for shooting manual. Especially when going from inside a dark church to the couple heading outside. This feature (and many others) finally convinced my second shooter to switch from Nikon to Canon R6. 🕺🏽💃🏽🤓

@@shalomvisuals5027 Oh shit… After shooting Canon for 20 years I switched to Sony. 🤓 Don’t worry, I’m not going to be a Sony troll. R5 is a pro camera. I’m just shooting 70/30 video and photo. Sony is a better hybrid system.

So you are talking about typical photography stuff right? I am an artist that needs photos to draw from so I try to take my own because I hate working from someone else idea. Most of the time they just take random photos of a model and hope for the best because they are not looking for an end result. They just need a bunch of photos. My photos need to look like the drawing I am going to do. That is where it gets tricky. Most women who model already are hard to work with and do not understand my vision. I try and work with women who could be a model but doesn't. I want good looking but still obtainable. So do you have any helpful tips for me. I need help as my artwork is lagging.
