For content I would post videos of the dogs having a great time, think about your customer (what do they feel normally before leaving their dog, it may be anxiety that their pet might not be safe etc...). Your content should take away that and demonstrate the value for your clients. I would then target followers of other local businesses as they're most likely local people too, or hashtags such as #torontodog as it's going to be more local.

Great explanation for niche pages, what about influencer pages? Specific (local) businesses?

The same idea applies, be specific in who you are helping and what you are helping them with. For example: Influencer - What is your end goal, do you want to be paid to advertise clothing for other brands? Then upload clothing/fashion related content and help others with styling ideas and so on to be seen as an authority in that topic. Businesses - This one is a bit different, but your business should already be clearly defined on what you offer and who you are targeting. For example, if your a local dentist you would upload content around happy customers (social proof) and share advice for better dental care (to demonstrate your expertise). Or for example you are a restaurant, focus around the lifestyle and happiness you bring to customers (the experience), while also demonstrating your expertise in the culinary sense (photos of food dishes, or videos showing food being made, or sharing tips on how to make food). A great tip for local businesses targeting local customers is to naturally use location tagging in your posts, but to go and find other local people...go and look for other local businesses accounts, look at who's following their account, and then target those peoples followers, as these will be usually be local friends of the person :). Thats why in this video I give the strategy, because it applies to any type of profile you make, it's just down to spending some time figuring our how you can apply it to your own specific scenario. But feel free to ask away if this didn't make sense.

I know a lot of successful influencers who started out buying followers and engagement, and are now growing organically. 🤔 The main reason why so many struggles to grow, is because nobody wants to be one of your first 100 followers, so it makes sense to buy engagement at first. Found a really good blog post explaining it.. Also, it's funny how some people think that buying engagement will get you banned.. because if that was the case, I would just be buying engagement for my competitors, and they would be out of my way.. Second, as a music artist, is it best for me to be engaging with regular profiles to try and convert them to fans? For example...if I make music like twenty one pilots-should I try to engage with people who follow them already? Or should I put my focus on engaging with other bands that create music like twenty one pilots? I guess I’m trying to figure out what the focus should be. You know?

It's hard to say without testing. Try targeting one for 1-2 weeks and then another audience for 1-2 weeks and compare your results. It will be hard to know what does the best as so many variables are at play (hashtags, your content, who you engage with etc...). Otherwise I would most likely not worry about it too much and target anyone who's into your genre of music and focus on the actually content more, and building amazing relationships with your new fans in DM's and comments :)
