@@lvstream720 content inside the can exists has a mix of gas and liquid, he removes gas to make more space for liquid. As liquid is denser than gas, the gas can will last lot longer if filled with liquid instead of gas.

@@AS-ug2vq But here in the U.S, i do filling too. But i dont know if he is using Butane or LPG. I havent seen stores here that sells Butane tanks with the same size as LPG tanks. I fill my cannister with LPG but has to be done at a lesser amount. Because LPG creates way more pressure than Butane. Portable stoves will get kick back from the locking mechanism. So i have to place something between the back stove wall and the cannister bottom ring edge. That gets moved forwadd by the mechanism. To prevent it from backing up

@@lvstream720 He's using LPG color of the gas cylinder is red. The gas inside these domestic red cylinders is at approx. 8bars. The gas canisters are designed to hold 10bar pressure, brust pressure is close to 13bar. The ordinary canister used for camping stoves has pressure of 2bar, stoves have cut off at 3bars so high pressure cans are rejected by camping stoves. There are cans available with 4bars pressure used for brazing. Nothing will happen if you fill them with domestic LPG which has 45-55, propane and butane mix. The can is designed to hold as much pressure as the red metal cylinder but the canister is not as robust to impacts during handling as the cylinder that's the only difference.
