Which Commanders have you selected and what items + special effects did you choose?

Gil, elrond, Celeborn and Cirdan. Cirdan has initiative items, the rest troop attack and defence. Elven army Pathing/ 2nd weaker army of dain, gimli, GTW and Imrahil with men troops, focussed on commander damage and defence. I used all Dain items in ur video

Saruman - Lurtz - The Shadow - Sauron for my first formation. Working on a second formation with Skalhelm - Cestaro - Undying - Adunae. For the gear, complicated, since I didn't have much chance with the update T__T

Gear effects should be 2 items to start and scale to 4. Having a need for 4 same effects is tedious and unnecessary.

Hey Azra! Great video, really useful! Might be worth checking the race restrictions again now, seems some of them have changed (eg. Undying can now equip gigantic hammer and hunters guide)

I selected my commander gear last night, with the help of your video (thanks again for that!), then when I opened the game this morning I noticed that some of the gear had changed and could now be used by different commanders - therefore I can only assume an update must have come in overnight to facilitate this

damage boost gear are more rare and valuable than others. so far they only can be found in gold hands and accessary gear, purple hand gear. u should keep them first.

Testing at the moment lurtz as dmg dealer, gtg and gtw as healer for the armys and 4option is open but i think shadow And 2 army is sauron, with wk, sunind and 4 unsure maybe undead🤔

Hi from BEND. Im using gil and elrond, both with Durin's plate as a chestpiece. (Defence and attack for units) I have loads of spare reserve for this chestpiece. Refining gives the commanders more HP, but that doesnt seem logical for troop buff commanders to do. Can i maybe better use those spare chestpieces for strengthening instead of refining? Cheers

i think command or unit damage is more important for gil. Hp maybe more important for those like dwain or lurtz, not sure. i alsolooking for some more expertise answer here

for gil, i am not sure icicle and alliance leader which one is better. i think latter is more impactful. it seems they count gil command attack as first damage and boost up 20% army attack followed.

Also, do you prioritize the equipment secondary stats over the special set effect? Or the special effect is more important than the stats ? I mean in case we get to chose. We won’t have the luxuary of having the right buff on the right equipment and we have make a choice 😅

I would say gear is more important than the special effect. The special effects are luxuries and only the richest among us can effort the synergy between the "right gear & right special effect". The GameDevs probably want to hook us for the long-run by hunting the aforementioned BiS Gear with their hard to find combo.

it is confused me about the formation skill such as might, it seems it only boost physical damage of the soldiers but not the commander’s. but seems it works on healer, that is what i observe but not sure, can u try and explain that a little? appreciate.

"[Commander] Damage" only increase the Commanders own physical and elemental damage, NOT the damage of the units. If you want to increase unit damage you have to collect "+Attack for Units" items.

Is it better to have best in slot as high as possible with no set effect? Or go for not so good but set effect is present?

I would prefer best in slot over 4/4 set effect. First I would focus on finding the best balanced commanders for my formation, then I would distribute my gear evenly among them, only then would I focus on finding 4/4 set effects. The set effects also seem like the GameDevs new money making thing. They know how HARD it is to have the right special effect on the best in slot gear, so they are giving you more reason to spend...

WK is a Troop Buffer with some support dmg from himself. There are better focus dmg dealers on Evil Side like Cestaro and Saruman.

reckoning is not good gear, command seems no effect on defence but will multiple with attack. so harmmer is crazy gear but reckoning not

What type of commander is Saruman?

You could play him either as Elemental Damage Dealer or Troop Buffing Commander (or as a hybrid). But his Relic is supporting his Elemental Damage style, which is why I would play him as an Elemental Damage Dealer in the first place.

I sadly will say I think wk is now a joke to use his black captain doesn't effect fell beasts so can't go that route and your choice to build is command usually so his focus damage from ringwraith is a joke the stun is nice but that's all he gets also hard to do non rp with black captain only effecting types

Yeah they ruined WK, I've been trying him out and already think I will replace him with either Sauron for some testing or Skalhelm.

i will build wk for focus damage, which is not at cost his army boost effect.so he is very flexible to be with either a group of damage commander or army commander(but evil side not strong on army)

Wk has high focus damage now, also stun is great, i consider him a strong commander especialy in a formation with Sauron, Undying and Shadow/Lurtz

Then the gear will stay in its classic version but you have no longer the chance to transfer it to new gear once the timer is gone.
