thank you for this amazing video tutorial. though i am having an issue getting a redirect after successfully scanning my QR code. after scanning,nothing happens. but if i use some other scanner like my inbuilt phone scamner ,i get the stored unique id ,which inducates they is indeed a conrent in the QR code. dont know if i am doing anything wrongly. please help me 🙏. have been stuck on this for about a week now.

@@BuildingWithBubble I found a solution - you need to reference in the the data base the image output by the QR Code workflow as the new image for the thing created. either 1 - create the qr code 2 - create a new thing and put the "results of step one" as a image field in the data base or make a change to a thing pps I would like to have your opinion on the new pricing plans for bubble - it makes me feel as its not super profitable as i barely do anything and still have up to 1K workflow in the last 30 days

@@claudia3732 okay, the solution i found is : you need to create a workflow where you create a QR Code from the "data" of the Unique Id Code (random generated variable). Then you need to reference the result of step 1 in a "Create a New Thing" : A Qr Code and set the image you the thing as the results of Step " As far as i understand it, that is how i would explain it. P.S. I dont understand the reference to time in your question

I'm thinking about creating a rewards/discount program for my subscribers. is there a way to send information back to my DB from a outside parties scanner. ie- If it's a pizza place is giving 10% discount. if they scan a QR or Bar code is there a way to send info back so I know they used it or how many times?

Yes, this would be possible using a feature in Bubble called URL/page parameters. It allows you to store data in a URL within your app. Form this URL, you can extract and store data within it. Hope this helps point you in the right direction!

Hi, thank you for the video. Im building a bike rental app which scans QR Codes on the bike locks to unlock the bike so how do i store or input the QR Codes of the locks into the app.

Hey, similar to the example I give in the tutorial, you can just add a data field that stores the image of the QR code. For every ride/rental you create in your database when someone unlocks a bike, you could store the image of the relevant QR they scan. Hope this helps point you in the right direction!

I need to print the QR codes using a merge with Microsoft word and an excel spreadsheet. Is there a way to export the qr code so that MS word can print it?

Good question. As the QR code is stored in Bubble as an image, you could run a workflow and choose the 'open external website' action. Within this action, you could then open the 'QR codes image, URL'. This will allow you to download the image a png file that you can then import into MS word. at 11:10, could you simplify the process of referencing the newly created ticket by setting a custom state or hold the value on a group as that ticket? Then when the "Manual QRCode is Finished" workflow starts it can reference it there, rather than having to search for it? =) Edit: And thanks so much for the guide!! =D Edit2: Also, if you go the route of using a search, could also specify that you are looking for a ticket who's QRCode image is empty =)

Glad the tutorial could help! And yes, you could definitely use a custom state to store the value of the ticket. When it comes to searching for a ticket with an empty QRcode image, this would be possible too. You'd just need to send an additional parameter called something like 'image-available'. Add a condition on the workflow to only send the parameter if the image is empty, then on your landing page, you could recognise if the value is present or not. Hope this helps point you in the right direction!

Glad it could help! And what kind of number are you looking to store in the barcode? The process would be similar to the steps within this video. Instead of storing the unique ID for something int he barcode (like I did in this video), you'd just store a number instead.

If you watch from 14:10, you'll see the workflow to scan a QR code. In the workflow where I send someone through to a page, you could just replace this with a 'create a thing' action where you create a post. Hope this helps!

Good Day, I love and regularly watch your Bubble contentand its helped me a lot in my app-making efforts, thank you. I do have a problem replicating what you have gone over in this video, using the same plugin, however now called Barcode and QR generator with Logo, I am able to generate the QR Code but I am not able to Scan it. The QR Code itself also looks strange, I have watch your video over and over to see if I missed anything but jist cant figure it out.
