Thanks for sharing! Must be annoying: that silly replacement Arriva bus from Leer to Groningen? In Groningen they are still waiting for a proper railway connection with Niedersachsen... Yes, connection from Groningen to Rotterdam is fast and easy with NS.

The connection is there but it was destroyed 2015 by a ship which collided with the railway bridge over river EMS . New bridge is now being built . The direct bus which connects with every intercity from Bremen is ok for the 70 km it takes only 55 min for the non stop trip

Nice, but why not ICE Bremen - Brussels South (switching trains in Colgne) and then Brussels South - London St. Pancras by Eurostar?

Most of time the train Brussel to London is very expensive , when having time it is much more relaxing taking the ferry
